BV Water Co. Customers and Members,

I’m following up again to thank those who have reached out to me since the community meeting with support, comments, questions, and concerns.  It is very helpful!

I’ve also added some new e-mails to the list based on new member sign-ups and updated billing information.  So – a quick note for those who have not received previous e-mails: you may refer to the water company’s website (www.bvcommunitywater.com) to see recent e-mails under “News and Public Notices” and you may find materials from the recent community meeting as well as other information for water company members under the “Member Information” tab.

One suggestion at the community meeting was that we create a member FAQ to address people’s key questions regarding the non-profit conversion and the wastewater plant upgrade.

Based the questions that came up in the meeting as well as the comments and questions we’ve received via e-mail since the meeting, we have created an FAQ for this purpose.  We are posting the FAQ on the “Member Information” page of the website.  We will treat this as a living document and will continue to update and add to it as new questions may arise.

I know it’s a lot of information and it can be confusing.  I’ve heard some misunderstanding circulating and so I do encourage everyone, if you have a question or are unsure about anything related to the water company, please refer to the materials posted on the website or reach out to me directly via e-mail. I am available.

Finally, as a reminder, there will also be an informal follow-up Q&A and conversation opportunity on Wednesday, September 3rd at 7:00 p.m. at the James Moore Tavern.  There will not be a call-in for this as it is not a presentation, just an opportunity for face time should people have outstanding questions or thoughts to share.

Our goal with all of these communications is to promote productive, solution-focused dialogue geared at achieving the most positive outcomes for our community possible.  It’s no small thing for a small community like ours to be facing a major infrastructure project like the wastewater upgrade, but we have a solid plan and have raised a lot of grant funds to help make it happen.  Years of planning have led us to this exciting moment to ensure we have safe and reliable wastewater treatment for the next several decades. We are committed to taking care of our critical infrastructure proactively to ensure that our homes and the resort are secure into the future.

Thank you for your engagement and your support.  And please remember to fill out your new member form if you are ready to do so.

Have a great weekend!

Lindsay
